	Vivacity 3 50cc

	Vivacity 3 creates new compact mini-GT scooter category Peugeot has given its popular Vivacity scooter a complete makeover and has created a brand new category of bike in the process: the compact mini-GT. Peugeots designers were keen to repeat the success of the original Vivacity, having sold several hundred thousand in under 10 years, and so researched consumer needs and market trends in order to create a contemporary scooter. It was clear that riders expectations in respect of urban scooters focused principally around three points: (1) Storage capacity, (2) Design and (3) Value. Equipped with this knowledge, Peugeot developed the Vivacity 3, combining many of the design features of a GT maxi-scooter with the size and price of an entry-level machine. So the Vivacity 3 boasts a stylish new look and higher specification than its predecessor but with an even lower price, (now £1249 compared to £1,449). Storage The Vivacity 3 boasts the largest usable storage capacity in its category, thanks to the 13-litre capacity Jet-in compartment, located at the front, supplementing the 22-litre under-seat compartment. Design Its not just its original looks, inspired by ultra-contemporary urban design, that make the Vivacity 3 stand out. It is crammed with practical features, such as an 8.5-litre (1.9 gallons) fuel tank, providing a range of up to 250km (155 miles). The tank is situated under the floor pan to lower the centre of gravity and enhance handling and the low seat height (786mm) will also aid rider confidence. The blue backlit instrument panel includes a clock and external temperature gauge and there is even a 12V socket to charge up accessories while on the move.

	Compact big wheel scooters are popular in Italy, as they offer superior handling over poorly maintained surfaces and are easy to manoeuvre in crowded city streets benefits that are equally relevant to British roads. Driven by the latest Euro-3 compliant 125cc four valve liquid cooled 4-stroke engine, the LXR produces 12.5 hp and is more than capable of keeping pace with traffic flow. 	Following hot on the heels of the Satelis 125, which has been praised for its levels of refinement in terms of specification, build quality and performance, the 250cc version from Peugeot takes the French manufacturer into new territory and is its first model in this capacity sector. At the heart of the Satelis is a modern 22 HP 4-stroke liquid cooled 4-valve motor, making this maxi scooter more than capable of coping with traffic flow on trunk roads and motorways. The 250cc Satelis delivers much of the comfort and convenience found in todays cars. The generous seat will carry rider and passenger in comfort, while the dashboard features an LCD display, a glove compartment capable of holding a litre size bottle of water and even a 12V power socket. Its aspherical rear view mirrors provide wide-angle vision while the dual halogen headlights (as used in the Peugeot 407 car) provide 30% more light on high beam. Carrying capacity is catered for with a cavernous storage bay beneath the seat, which lifts using a hydraulic jack, similar to those found on hatchback cars. Its low seat height (784mm), low weight (161KG) and ergonomic riding position ensure safe and easy handling for a wide variety of people. Even the shape of the Satelis is aerodynamically engineered for the best drag coefficient on the market, enhancing both performance and fuel economy.
